We make a charge for a survey because that is all we do - surveying. This means that you get independent advice, unlike others who have a vested interest in finding problems with their 'free' survey. The applicable fee includes the survey, diagnosis of problems found (if any) remedial advice (if required) budget costs (if required) and a written report.

Academy Remedial Surveyors are not contractors who carry out work meaning we have no financial interest in looking for work or problems that do not exist. Our mission and object is to inspect, diagnose and provide opinion of problems reported by others or, to inspect for pre-sale purposes to determine if any problems exist.
We are employed by both the private and commercial sector however the largest proportion of our work is for homebuyers after receiving the homebuyers survey report which normally recommends a damp and timber survey even only as a precaution. Existing homeowners also find our services invaluable. Architects, building surveyors, local authorities, banks, mortgage lenders, insurance companies and builders are all part of our commercial client portfolio.
